San Francisco Day 4

Sorry for the delay, haven't had much time. Day 4 Peter and I called to see if we could get tickets to the Alcatraz tour. They said the only thing they have are 1:30 tickets and it's 12:45 when we called. We asked if we took a trolley if that would give us enough time and they said yes. We got on a trolley that we thought would take us straight to the Bay. It only took us half way. We ran approx. two miles with already sore legs. We made it though, like many things on this trip by the skin of our teeth we made it. Alcatraz was interesting very cool, didn't realize it was fort during the civil war. Its very cold and very windy I can see how the buildings are so tattered. Nature has taken over the island and now it looks like a pretty garden. Inside the prison was interesting too. We got to see the dummy heads the only prisoners who escaped Alcatraz made(I didn't like them they are creepy). We also got to see the pock marks that the grenades left when the marines came to save the island when some prisoners took hostages. We then left the Island and headed to The Golden Gate bridge. Peter became sea sick so I had to wait and watch him hunched like he had to puke for the second time on the trip (first time was when he ate octopus). We took a bus that dropped us off right next to the bridge and to our amazement you couldn't see the bridge!! it was covered in sea spray/clouds, we were actually on the bridge and could not see it. Peter was just tickled when we came across an emergency phone line on the bridge. Then we went back to China town to find a "Cuban" restaurant instead we found more chinese and a seedy part of town. Food wasn't as good (too foreign...not american enough). On our way home we came across some girls who ran the Bay to Breakers its a run every year from the Bay to the Ocean and everyone wears costumes, its a sight to see. They were dressed as "sexy" angels.
